World Trade Centers Association
General Assembly

In October 2003, the International Trade Center organized and hosted the 34th World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) General Assembly. Leaders of the international business community gathered to generate ideas establish personal contacts and create new business opportunities at this paramount event

The purpose of the 2003 WTCA General Assembly was to provide global business leaders with a greater understanding of, and increased access to, international business, U.S. Government and diplomatic connections. The Agenda included WTCA committee meetings and briefings featuring local speakers from the World Bank, U.S. Government and other business associations, discussion of programs designed to help business delegations increase access to procurement and projects, networking opportunities with business leaders from around the world, gala affairs including an opening reception, cultural evening, closing ceremony and dinner.

The participants at the 34th World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) General Assembly were:

  • World Trade Center leaders from across the globe
  • Business delegations that accompany World Trade Centers
  • Multilateral institutions including the World Bank
  • International diplomatic and embassy community
  • U. S. Government agencies that support international trade
  • International associations
  • Greater Washington, DC business community

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by Mr. Asparuh Karastoyanov — President of Aspolly Carras International INC and member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian American Business Center.

Other representatives of the Bulgarian American Business Center took part on some of the events of the Assembly.
